The apartment is located in a lively neighborhood, as Rheingasse is usually bustling with activity. City life must be loved, and notably, sleeping is only possible to a limited extent during the 3 days of the Basel Carnival. A "quiet living situation" cannot be spoken of.

The apartment, with 72.8m2, is not huge but offers everything needed for "beautiful living", very sunny and bright, small bathroom with WC, a small dining area in the kitchen with access to the living room, 1 bedroom, and 1 study.

The house is a protected monument and is approximately 160 years old, was "modernized" and renovated about 40 years ago, but does not meet the latest standards in terms of energy efficiency, soundproofing, and air draft at the wooden windows and apartment entrances.

For residents, we recommend a access permit (can be requested free of charge at the Clara police station), outsiders can drive into the alley from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. There are no parking spaces, but they can be rented about 5 to 7 minutes' walk away (see our offer).
