Neues Gemeinschaft sucht Mitbewohner / New cooperative home

Hey there! Are you seeking a way to live peacefully in Zurich while you pursue your passions? Do you want to live in a thriving community where there are always meals and long, thoughtful discussions to be shared? Do you have space in your day/week/life to contribute to a cooperative house? My friend and I are starting a co-op home that believes true independence requires a deeply supportive community. I?ve lived in two intentional communities for four years in total, and it?s my dream to take what I?ve learned and start a community in Zurich that feels like nourishing ground for growth. Let?s build a thriving household around shared love of good meals, conversation, collective projects, business endeavors, and events. We will soon be looking for an apartment or house by Lake Zurich (we need our cold water dips), with the plan of moving in around October or November.THE HOUSE:The following is just a sketch, as we?ll all be equal authors in the arrangement of our home:We will buy food together and much of it in bulk. This can include nuts, eggs, yogurt, fruit, vegetables, grains, pasta, oils, etc. We will meet as a house over dinner one night per week, but also often cook together informally during the week. We will minimize our environmental impact and maximize our social impact. We will have a projector/beamer, a record player plus speakers half my height, a printer, and much more!ABOUT US:So far, it?s two of us: one 30-year-old gal, one 39-year-old guy. We are artists, paragliding pilots, rock climbers, campers, surfers, skateboarders, weight lifters, skier/snowboarder, budding and already-budded hikers, a journalist, a classical singer, a meteorologist, a designer, a computer monkey, and all-around useful DIY handyman with his own sewing machine and enough tools to start a hardware store. We speak English, German, Slovak, Czech, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Korean, French, and Swiss German, so please get in touch even if you?re not fluent in English. YOU:We?re looking for at least two others to join us (hopefully several more, depending on the space we find). You should be open, friendly, creative, and interested in alternative communities. We welcome all ages, nationalities, religions, genders, and backgrounds. We?re interested in both permanent residents of Zurich and travelers passing through for a few weeks/months. For long-term housemates (one year or more), we can consider the first few months to be a trial period so you can decide if this is the place for you and we can get a sense if it?s a right fit for everyone. If this sounds like it could be a good fit for you, send me a message telling me a little bit about yourself and why you?re interested in living in a cooperative home. (If you prefer email, just ask me for my email address.) Have a great day!
