The ideal home is not always where you first expect to find it. Often, what matters more than its location on the map is how long it takes to get to work, school or other places you regularly travel to. With the travel time search, you can specifically search for properties that allow you to reach your chosen destination within a set travel time.
When looking for a home, many people initially focus on criteria such as living space, number of rooms or rent. But in everyday life, the daily journey to work, school, childcare or other important places can also make a big difference.
Long drives or journeys involving inconvenient connections can make everyday life considerably more difficult. On the other hand, a home that initially seems further away may be much more conveniently located thanks to a fast train connection or a direct cycling route.
This is why distance in kilometres often says little about how well a home actually fits your lifestyle.
Search by travel time instead of distance
This is exactly where the travel time search comes in. Instead of only filtering by locations or regions, you can specify the maximum amount of time you want it to take to reach a particular destination.
First, select the place you regularly need to reach – for example, your workplace or school. Then choose your transport type and set the maximum travel time.
Only see homes within your preferred travel time
The map view will then only show homes from which you can reach your destination within the selected travel time. Only listings with sufficiently precise location information are included, helping to provide reliable travel times and realistic search results.
Especially in cities and surrounding areas, this can reveal some unexpected options. For example, a home outside the city centre may be quicker to reach thanks to a direct public transport connection than a property that is closer but has less convenient connections.

With the travel time search, your daily journey to work or school becomes part of your home search from the outset. This means you no longer have to compare different locations individually or check travel times afterwards.
