"Domaine de Bellecombe"

Discover the rich history of this estate dating back to the Middle Ages. Originally a castle built around 1225 by Peter of Savoy, known as « Pont-sur-Arve » and later renamed « Château de Boringe, » it once served as a strategic tollbooth on the Arve River bridge. Throughout the centuries, it changed hands among noble families, witnessed battles, and eventually became a center of the castellany.

In the 19th century, Dr. Bizot acquired the property and conducted archaeological excavations while developing the park. Today, remnants of the destroyed bridge and the outline of the present ruin can still be seen. The main house, though, was constructed in the mid-19th century. -

Situated in Haute-Savoie, a mere 15-minute drive from Geneva via a highway link, and just 5 minutes from Reignier station with a 25-minute train ride to the heart of Geneva, the property encompasses approximately 27 hectares.
