Directly on the Reuss, at the foot of the Reuss bridge, is the stately property Sonnenberghaus im Zöpfli at Kramgasse 1.

In 1787, the predecessor building came into the possession of Marshal Jakob Anton Thüring von Sonnenberg. He acquired the house for his son and had it rebuilt in the same year. Since 1968, the building has been listed in the cantonal inventory of historical buildings under the name Sonnenberghaus im Zöpfli and is one of the protected buildings.

The building is a stately Lucerne citizen's house from the end of the 18th century, with special significance in the old town picture. The art-historically interesting furnishings of the Reuss-side interior rooms, as well as the richly carved, early Baroque portal and the panels with grisaille paintings on the outside, are noteworthy.
