Unterstrass is part of the sixth district of Zurich and extends north of the city center. This vast area was an independent municipality before being incorporated into Zurich in 1893. The Irchelpark-Campus of the University of Zurich is located in the neighborhood – not to be confused with the Irchelpark, a beautiful public park. Unterstrass is also home to the Stadtparks Schindlergut and Beckenhof, which offer a lovely view of the Limmat.
