Description
A house full of history and charm - on the edge of Saas-Fee with a view of the Bietschhorn.
A rare opportunity to acquire a true gem at the entrance to the glacier village of Saas-Fee: a lovingly renovated Valais house that breathes history and at the same time offers modern living comfort.
If the old wooden beams could tell stories, they would tell of generations of summers in the clear mountain air, of laughter by the fireplace, and of the peace of the Alps. Today, the house welcomes its inhabitants with the same warmth - but in new splendor.
Four cozy bedrooms offer retreats full of security. In the spacious living room with a Swedish stove and open kitchen, you can enjoy the wide view over the Saas Valley - a panorama that makes every day a small celebration.
On the ground floor, a cozy Carnozet awaits sociable evenings with friends - or its transformation into an inspiring studio, where creativity and history shake hands.
A bathroom/WC, a separate day-WC, as well as carefully selected materials combine alpine character with contemporary comfort.
A place that touches the heart - and where past, present, and future come together in perfect harmony.
History of the nearby restaurant Waldhüs Bodmen in the hamlet of Bodmen.
The settlement of Bodmen has existed for centuries. An old larch house bears the year 1773 - that is the founding date of a building that can be seen on an outer beam.
Around 1909, the original "Café-Bodmen" was built by Abraham Imseng. His daughter Agnes ran it.
In 1929, Emanuel Bumann (from Saas-Fee) acquired Café-Bodmen. His wife Leonie also prepared the first raclettes in the Saas Valley there.
Later (1949), Olga Schnyder became the owner, and from 1996/1997, Sepp and Margrit Manser took over, modernizing and expanding the inn. waldhues-bodmen.ch
