In the heart of the Sapey hamlet, between Le Châble and Bruson, this barn-stable, built in 1808, as evidenced by its lintel engraved "JBG 1808", is one of the best-preserved witnesses of the built front of the hamlet.

Its timber frames are assembled at right angles and rest on a masonry base; its stone slab roof has been maintained, with replaced rafters; its south gallery, equipped with ruchines, is sheltered under the overhanging roof. Inside, there is a volume of about 620 m³ on two to three levels, with exposed beams and healthy floors, currently used as a storage room. The lower part, on stilts, provides a covered access; a meadow and the old poultry house complete the 393 m² plot in the village zone.

Listed in the inventory of built heritage for its architectural qualities and overall value, the barn is transmitted in its original function: a storage space, a workshop or a deposit of a rarity that has become rare. Any transformation would be subject to municipal authorizations and respect for the character of the building.
